In Conversation: Social Media Best Practices
Join Content Magazine’s founder and Cultivator Daniel Garcia in conversation with local social media gurus who have a pulse on making an impact in the saturated social media scene. Meet and hear from Rah Riley, strategist and content curator, and Melanie Samay, Marketing Director of San Jose Museum of Art.
Together, they will discuss best practices and practical guidance for making social media work for your brand and your organization, including:
- If you don’t have a social media person designated due to budget constraints what are some of the things you should be doing with limited time?
- Are there advantages of having 20k followers over 1k really engaged followers?
- How to keep your followers engaged while growing your following?

Previous to the pandemic, she spent her time reading, walking around the city, sitting in the park with friends, and hanging around dark spaces at night listening to loud music. She has a blog about books + book-nerdom called Goth Grammarist. Now she stays at home with her grumpy senior cat named Hermione.
